Jim Morrison’s bold signature runs vertically across his own face on the album cover. Robby Krieger signed in Morrison’s hair area. Ray Manzarek signed vertically on the right side. John Densmore signed at the bottom center. Morrison also inscribed “Doors” on the cover. All four signatures are in black ink, bold and clearly legible. Albums bearing the authentic autographs of all four Doors members are among the rarest and most coveted items in music memorabilia. Morrison was notoriously reluctant to sign autographs, and his death in Paris in July 1971 at just 27 years old-barely seven months after this album’s release-makes any Morrison-signed item exceptionally scarce. Harvey, features a young, clean-shaven Morrison in profile against a pale blue sky, with the remaining three members shown in a strip along the bottom.
